Food:

The New Orleans food scene is one of the most vibrant and unique cultural experiences you can have, if you know where to go. If you didn’t have the time to scan Yelp listings but plan on having a omnivorous week, here are some suggestions. All existing or prospective clients are invited to a free meal with eGeneration. Please email Joe at sales@egenerationmarketing.com so we can try to set it up.

Breakfast:

Starbucks

Located inside the Hyatt on the second floor, this is a quick and easy option to jumpstart a productive day.

Willa Jean – (611 O'Keefe Avenue)

Willa Jean is a contemporary bakery in the Central Business District, just a 5-minute walk from the Hyatt. Their sweet and savory breakfast pastries, biscuits, cookies, and breads have gained this bakery national fame, so be sure to check it out for a truly indulgent breakfast.

Lunch:

Arnaud’s (813 Rue Bienville)

Arnaud’s offers classic Creole cuisine just steps away from Bourbon Street. Recently celebrating it’s 100th anniversary just last year, this establishment is a local institution as well as a staple for any travelers in the area. Bourbon street is about a 15 minute walk from the Hyatt and is not something you’ll want to miss!

Johnny’s Po-Boys (511 St Louis Street)

One of the most traditional food items in New Orleans is the Po-Boy, which is a sandwich served on a baguette and generally consists of fried seafood. Johnny’s has been cranking these out since 1950. It’s located in the French Quarter, which another area worth checking out during your stay. It’s just under a mile from the Hyatt, so a walk or a short Uber will get you there in no time.

Dinner:

Antoine’s (713 Saint Louis Street)

This place is oldest continuously operating restaurant in America, with some waiters that have been there for over 50 years! The dish called oysters Rockefeller originated here which consists of oysters with butter, parsley, and breadcrumbs then either baked or broiled. They’re located in the French Quarter, so perfect place to start your night before exploring the town.

Dooky Chase (2301 New Orleans Ave)

Regular customers, tourists (including Barack Obama and George W. Bush), and locals know the legendary Gumbo and smile from chef Leah Chase that both made you equally happy. She opened her establishment in 1941 and quickly became most known for the classic creole dishes. While she recently passed at nearly 100, her family has pledged to continue her legacy of bringing people together through food. The location is in Tremé, so just a short ride away from the Hyatt.

We are looking forward to New Orleans and we hope to see you there! We will be available throughout the conference for existing clients or anyone that might be interested in learning about our lead generation services for Social Security disability representatives.
