What’s The Best Time To Call A Lead?

Lead generation is one of the most popular marketing options for attorneys due to how quickly you can increase your caseload. Unfortunately, with lead generation comes lead follow up. One of the best ways to determine if a lead is pursuable as a client is discussing the case over the phone. The only issue is sometimes it can be challenging to get a lead on the phone. Here are some good times to call your leads:

Social Security

Social Security leads are almost certainly not working, so a good time to call these claimants would be in the middle of the day. As with most clients, you’ll need to avoid calling Social Security disability claimants around mealtimes or early in the morning. You’ll also need to speak clearly when calling a Social Security lead because he or she may have a hearing impairment.

Personal Injury

The timing of calling a personal injury claimant will vary depending on his or her case description. For example, if a personal injury claimant was rear ended but did not suffer any physical injuries, it’s likely he or she is still at work. If this is the case, a later call (such as 4 PM or after dinner, around 8 PM) may be best. If the claimant was severely injured and is not able to work, he or she may be free all day long.

Workers’ Compensation

Workers’ compensation clients will not be working due to an on-the-job injury, so you’ll likely have more luck calling them any time of the day. Because a workers’ compensation applicant is more likely to be younger than a Social Security disability claimant, you also may have more luck reaching a WC lead via text or email if alternate methods of contact were provided.

FDCPA

FDCPA leads are a little different than the other case types. They likely will be working all day so you may have difficulty calling them, but more importantly, they’ll be very wary of answering the phone. If you try calling your FDCPA leads but do not get an answer, it’s possible they’re worried that you are another debt collector. Leave a detailed voicemail and follow up via text and email whenever you try to connect with an FDCPA client.

The Most Important Time For Any Lead…

Perhaps the best time you can call a lead, regardless of case type, is immediately after you receive a lead. At eGenerationMarketing all of our legal leads are sent to firms in real time, so you know that your lead immediately filled out a Free Evaluation looking for legal help. In fact, studies have shown that if you connect with a claimant within the first five minutes of submitting a Free Evaluation, you’re 7x more likely to speak with the claimant at all. We also offer a complimentary Live Transfer feature that automatically places a call between your lead and your office, streamlining the process of speaking with leads.
